"The reason I became a teacher is that I wanted to share.  I started meditation 5 years ago while working in a very toxic environment.  At the time it was normal for me to wake up at 2 am and have an anxiety attack, and at work I was like a shadow or my former self and felt as if I was just going through the motion.  As soon as I started meditating the anxiety attacks vanished, I was able to turn things around at work and start showing the better part of myself.  I saw similar results in many of my co-workers and that is when I decided to become an ambassador for mindfulness at the workplace" - Tony

Meditation in the workplace can help staff become more aware of signs of built up stress, difficult emotions and thoughts as well as uncomfortable body sensations. When we stop throughout the day to become mindful we are able to re-set our attitude, mood, focus and attention. This inevitably helps staff and employers to make decisions with less reactivity, having had the opportunity to think through decisions with a clear mind.  - Monique

Inquiring into our experience during our practice is almost as important as the practice itself. Sometimes when we meditate, we can get very caught up in our own internal experience. We can judge it or over analyze it. By externalizing it and having a teacher there to help guide us, we increase our ability to learn and gain benefit from the time we spend meditating. - Jessica

Think of your workplace as your second home. These people and ideology are where you send an enormous amount of emotional and physical resources. To better feed this resource so that it also sustains you is crucial for the health and wellbeing of you as a contributor, and to the community which feeds back into you. This awareness can become a symbiotic flow, but only if consciously activated. - Kristen
